Lana's Story

Lana comes from a large, supportive family and has friends around the world.
She has worked in the medical community for years as a paramedic and recently graduated from nursing school.
Lana met her husband Darren, a firefighter, on the scene of an accident in 2005. They were married in 2008.
She always looked forward to being a mother and was privileged to be able to carry her twins to 40 weeks. Abigail and Ian were born healthy. However, soon after birth, something wasn't right with Lana and she was admitted to the Greenville Memorial Hospital with a rare disease that was literally eating her flesh.
